After Christmas Got a lot done during Christmas break! Railings up, Walls have some paint, and it actually looks like a building. We were happy with how things were coming along. Found we had an issue with the heating system. Did you know that Heat goes UP.. and as the heaters are at the ceiling, and the floor is 30 ft below, the heat was not getting down to the floor!! Solution? put a fan on the side of the building until I get something better.. it worked ok, but not well..

Eric and Rick installing the header beams on the second floor so the ceiling can be put on.  there are enclosed rooms on the second floor to try to keep things a bit cleaner than having a total open ceiling.  Keep out the dust, and allow the rooms to be heated independently of the building.

What it looks like.

What it looks like.

Just before christmas, things are coming together.  We had a lot to do still, to include some sort of railing!!  This was bugging me.. I had to figure out a temporary railing system.

Balcony weight test If we had questions as to whether the balcony could handle the weight of a pallet, well.. this answered the question.. We had 3 full stacks of drywall on the balcony at once, and it never even moved. I think we are good.

Tasting room has one wall completed, We were not entirely sure how far the wood we got would go.. we shall see.

Gas?

Gas being one of the more important things in winter, was not installed completely until the first part of December.. You would think building a Christmas tree out of pipe would not really be necessary.. but oh well.. Till the gas is in, the several electric heaters will have to do..

Day before New Years Eve 2017.. cold and snowy!  good thing we are working inside!

November 2017

Going back in time a little bit, We made the paper, but we were still waiting for the Still and equipment from Corson Distilling Systems that would not come for almost another year.  We were ready to open, but could not due to the delays in our equipment.

Crooked Corson Distilling

We found out the company that was supposed to be making our still was basically doing a ponzi scheme.  We had paid in full and should have been first in line to get our stuff, but they were in no hurry due to the fact that they had our money.. We had to pay up front due to stipulations in the bank loan.

This is a picture of the boiler when we fired it up in mid January 2019.  Figured the pic fit the boiler install.

January 2018!

Things starting to arrive, the bottling system pictured has to go on the first floor, this was probably not the best idea but we had little choice with the space we have.  Not even going to cover how we got it up there.. but we pulled it off.
